Here we are in Whitley Bay - seaside village near Newcastle on Tyne.  Quite a depressed looking area but about to go under substantial regeneration.  Many houses to let or for sale and many empty and bought up by council.  We had a good flight but long and boring.  So glad to get out and stretch our legs with a walk along the waterfront.  Grey seas and grey skies but beautiful views up long sandy beach.  Off to Segundum Fort today.
